Thru the Bible Reading Plans
You will be able to choose a plan that is best suited for you. The “gold” plan will come directly from Dr. Guthrie’s book Reader’s Guide to the Bible. You will read a section of scripture each day and respond to a few thought provoking questions. If you choose the “silver” plan, you will read either one chapter or several verses each day with comments and/or questions to guide your reading. The “bronze” plan will focus on one selected verse for 15 minutes of meditation and reflection guided by questions and/or comments. (Brochures with the silver and bronze plan are available at each side entrance and at the welcome center. They will be available every two months. The plans are also available through our website.
We want to encourage you to use as many resources as possible to assist you in this effort - Biblegateway.com offers many versions of the bible to read through as well as on-line audio so that you can listen to the passage. The Word of Promise CDs are available at local Christian bookstores make the NKJV version of scripture very enjoyable to listen to. Will you join many others in our church, as we seek the Lord through His Word, see in a fresh way the story of our salvation, and allow His Word to transform us by the power of the Spirit.
